APPLICATIONS WILL BE OPEN FROM FRIDAY 7 NOVEMBER 2025AND WILL CLOSE ON THURSDAY 15TH JANUARY 2026.
Children begin school at the start of the academic year in which they will turn five years old and whether it is your first child is starting school or your fourth it is important that you choose the school that is right for your child. Our school website gives prospective parents a taste of what school life at Shatterlocks Infant & Nursery School is like and the information on this page goes through the procedure and the children's eventual induction. Choosing the Right School for your Child
When applying for a primary school, the most important thing is to ask yourself, 'Would my child be happy here?' and we would certainly encourage you to visit the school and to bring your child with you.
They are a great way to see the facilities that we have on offer; see the learning going on around the school and meet key members of staff - it's also an opportunity for you to ask questions to see if Shatterlocks is the right school for your child.

Thursday 16th April 2026 | National Offer Day
Thursday 30th April 2026 | Places must be accepted/refused
Information for Starting School in September 2026
Once places have been confirmed, teachers will contact feeder nurseries and visit the children where possible. We have also put together a series of events to support the children (and parents) in starting school.
